Requirements
- Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the United States.
- Ice Miller LLP is seeking a highly motivated Intellectual Property Associate with at least 2 years of experience in life sciences patenting.
- Qualified candidates will possess:
- Advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in biological sciences, e.g., molecular biology, cell biology, microbiology, immunology, genetics, etc. Superior academic credentials.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
- at least 2 years of experience as a patent attorney in biotechnology.
- Advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in biological sciences, e.g., molecular biology, cell biology, microbiology, immunology, genetics, etc.
- Superior academic credentials.
- Experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications relating to biologics or other large-molecule technologies.
- Experience in conducting searches and analyses for freedom-to-operate, IP due diligence, infringement, validity, and patent landscape assessments.
- Registration to practice before the USPTO in good standing.
- Admission to at least one State bar.
- Prior law firm experience preferred.
Compensation
- Salary range for this position is $215,500 to $320,000 based on experience, plus opportunities for discretionary and hours-based bonus.
