About the role

  • SOSi is seeking a Systems Administrator to join our team in Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Honolulu, Hawaii.
  • As a Systems Administrator, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and supporting system operation, maintenance, and security, ensuring DoD compliance.
  • Our team solves challenging technical problems that enable USINDOPACOM to realize critical and time sensitive C2 strategies.

Responsibilities

  • As a Systems Administrator at SOSi, you will work within the Systems Operations team to provide essential support within the USINDOPACOM Area-of-Responsibility (AOR).
  • You will provide Tier-2 support to systems-related issues and are responsible for securing, modifying and troubleshooting aforementioned IT systems and related components, in accordance with change control processes.
  • Skilled in leveraging team expertise to address complex technical issues, streamline installation processes, and implement upgrades that enhance service performance and reliability.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in systems administration, security operations or enterprise IT service center operations.
  • Extended knowledge of modern operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux) and related security configuration.
  • Knowledge of system security best practices and compliance standards including government Secure Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs).
  • Familiarity with HCI, authentication protocols and C2 applications.

Skills

  • Relevant IT Certification (e.g., Citrix, Dell, HP, ITIL, Microsoft, Nutanix, VMware).
  • Well-versed in Department of Defense (DoD) protocols, procedures, and regulations.
  • Familiar with operating in classified environments.
  • Prior Help Desk/software experience (e.g., Jira, Remedy, ServiceNow).
  • Awareness or experience in ITIL framework and ITIL best practices.
  • Fast-paced and deadline-oriented work environment.
  • Potential for non-traditional working hours, including consecutive nights and weekends.
  • Occasional travel to locations within the supported Area-of-Responsibility (AOR).
