About the role

  • Grow your project management experience while working on trendsetting projects across practice areas.
  • A focus for the role will be managing multiple fast-paced mid-size projects or singular large, complex projects.
  • The ideal candidate for this role will have strong project management skills and experience in both the Hospitality and Residential practice areas with the ability to produce drawings and specifications as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead architectural deliverables on projects, working with Design Director(s), Technical Director(s), and project team(s) for all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents and production
  • Collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project objectives
  • Resolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutions
  • Advance the understanding that design resilience is a responsibility of every person at Gensler
  • Cultivate design expertise with the desire to always learn, grow, and evolve
  • Manage project teams for multiple projects
  • Establish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships
  • Manage project scheduling, staffing/productivity, budgets, project set-up with clients, sub-contractors, vendors and consultants
  • Support the project's bidding process and permitting process
  • Create and communicate clear and attainable project objectives and project requirements

Requirements

  • Experience with commercial projects such as base building and interior architecture for hotels, multi-family residential, and mixed-use buildings
  • Experience leading projects of a variety of scales, and mentoring and collaborating with Interior Designers and Architects
  • Experience negotiating project scope and fees
  • Professional degree (Master or Bachelor) in Architecture from an accredited program
  • Proven experience mentoring and coaching junior team members

Nice to have

  • Licensed / Registered Architect + LEED accreditation are preferred

  • Our annual base salary range has been established based on local markets.
