About the role

  • Within this framework, Veolia's Water Technology Business brings together a dedicated team of experienced professionals committed to tackling the world's most complex challenges related to water scarcity, quality, productivity, and energy.
  • This role is equal parts controllership and financial planning & analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Manage financial activities of six manufacturing plant operations in the US and Canada.
  • Partner with plant leaders to improve financial performance and working capital position.
  • Support strategic plan initiatives and financial decisions including plant expansions, product repositions, and rationalizations, as needed.
  • Support make-versus-buy and margin analysis.
  • Lead monthly analysis and reporting of direct material inflation/deflation.
  • Support balance sheet controls for logistics, including freight invoice/accrual management
  • Consistently exhibit a controlling mindset with the ability to lead financial activities across manufacturing and logistical operations.
  • Regularly display a strong financial acumen and the willingness to partner with various stakeholder groups to drive meaningful change.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams
  • Strategic decision-maker with ability to challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Support capital spend, new investment models and physical counts, as required.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent experience

Compensation

  • Perform all COGS-related monthly closing activities and financial analysis for the chemicals business in North America totaling approximately $350M in annual spend.
  • Lead NAM process for annual operating budgets and ongoing expense forecasting.
  • Compensation - The salary range is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles.
