About the role
- The Director of Strategy will play a vital role in assisting Mercury to transform to better meet the changing needs of demanding customers, while delivering profitable growth and innovation through a short and long-term vision.
- The Director of Strategy will possess a strong strategic mindset, toolkit and experience base, and will possess strong executive presence to have credibility with all levels of management and staff.
- This position will report to the CFO, Mercury Marine and will be based in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop growth opportunities through organic and inorganic initiatives, including M&A, joint ventures, supporting deal negotiations and coordinating due diligence activities
- Emphasis on collaboration and influencing capabilities, to drive alignment and action with peers and colleagues, including working with Mercury leadership team and strategy peers across Brunswick.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive work experience in relevant disciplines and functions, include working across business groups within multi-national organizations
- Rigorous analytical capabilities, ability to translate large data into concise insights, decision-making expertise
- Transformational mindset, with a track record of successfully delivering change and growth initiatives
- Experience working with senior levels of management in a large public organization, including excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Business and financial acumen in all aspects of P&L drivers and management, with cross-functional knowledge and prior experience in multiple disciplines
- Excellent time management, with a proven ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

- Bachelor's degree in related technical field, MBA preferred
