About the role
- SUMMARY The OTSU Awards Selection Committee (ASC) is a committee of the Ontario Tech Student Union (OTSU) and shall be a special committee of the Board.
- The Committee is dedicated to working with the OTSU Executive Team and the finance department to oversee the distribution of student awards.
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES This Committee will strive to engage members of the student body in conversations related to student bursaries and awards.
Responsibilities
- The ASC provides students-at-large with the opportunity to work directly with the OTSU, allowing them to establish strong networks and develop a deeper understanding of the OTSU's operations.
Requirements
- Must be full-time students (enrolled in 3 or more courses) in good academic standing (with a cumulative GPA above 2.0) at Ontario Tech University.
- Previous experience serving on committees is considered an asset.
- Minimum 5 hours per month, which includes engaging in discussions, scheduled and ad-hoc meetings.
