Responsibilities
- Under the guidance of the engineering manager, design, develop, and test hydraulic systems for various applications
- Select appropriate materials and develop bills of materials (BOMs), technical drawings, and test plans.
- Manage the project to schedule, communicate potential delays, and advise with recovery plans
- Prepare hydraulic and electrical schematics and develop manuals for startup and maintenance.
- Perform engineering calculations for pressure, flow, and heat removal to support system design.
- Coordinating with subcontractors to maintain project schedules.
- Support proposal development and provide engineering input for assigned projects.
- Offer technical support to sales teams, parts coordinators, shop personnel, and fellow engineers on component selection, system layout, and fabrication practices.
- Follow and support continuous improvement of Business Management System (BMS) procedures and work instructions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering
- Knowledge interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Inventor is considered an asset.
- Effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Skills
- Plan and execute engineering tasks for project components or moderately complex standalone projects.
- Conduct calculations and simulations to validate system performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
- Provide technical support to clients and resolve issues
- Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate project results
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in hydraulic technology
- Provide guidance to technicians during fabrication.
- Mechanical, electrical, and systems control skills will be developed and utilized.
