Responsibilities
- Performs appropriate treatments and administrations of medication, immediate and ongoing, as ordered by provider in an accurate and timely manner.
- Performs therapeutic nursing interventions and delivery of care with appropriate age and cultural competence as established by individualized needs/plan of care for the patient and their family.
- Documents patient condition, assessment findings, and physical/psychosocial responses to nursing intervention and progress towards problem resolution.
- Initiates emergency resuscitative measures according to adult resuscitation and advanced life support protocols.
- Maintains confidentiality as well as providing care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that is sensitive to the patient's and family's diversity, preserving their autonomy, dignity and rights.

Requirements
- Previous experience in an acute care setting Required
- Must have ability to collaborate with others to improve quality and address needs.
- Basic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association is required within 30 days of hire.
- Recertification every two years Required
- Registered Nurse - South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation in good standing with the South Carolina Board of Nursing Required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN).
Skills
- Works with patients, families, physicians, and other health care providers.
- Must be proficient in using Electronic Health Record (EMR) for patient-level care and coordination.
- Must possess excellent verbal communication skills.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certified
- American Heart Association Preferred
- Basic Life Support Certified
- American Heart Association is required within 30 days of hire. Recertification every two years Required
- Registered Nurse
- South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation in good standing with the South Carolina Board of Nursing Required

- Education Qualifications
- Degree received from an education institution accredited by National League of Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) Required
- Degree received from an education institution accredited by National League of Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) Preferred or
