- A Day in the Life The Grand Rapids, Michigan manufacturing site produces approximately 600 finished products, including cannulae and beating heart products used across Medtronic's cardiovascular portfolio.

Responsibilities
- Lead investigations related to supplier quality issues, nonconforming materials, Supplier Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs), Material Review Board activities, and inspection findings.
- Apply statistical quality techniques to analyze supplier performance, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other quality improvement methodologies.
- Manage supplier quality performance and monitor supplier compliance with quality requirements for materials, components, and services.
- Partner with engineering and cross-functional teams to develop product acceptance strategies, supplier control plans, and quality requirements for new products and processes.
- Define receiving inspection requirements and support validation of internal test methods associated with supplied products.
- As a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer, you will support supplier quality management activities for purchased materials and components used in manufacturing.
Nice to have
- Experience investigating quality issues, nonconforming products, corrective actions, or supplier-related quality concerns.
- Knowledge of quality systems, regulated manufacturing environments, or supplier quality processes.
- Working knowledge of Quality System Regulation (21 CFR Part 820), ISO 13485, statistical quality control methods, and Six Sigma principles.
- Experience with supplier controls, process validation, auditing, failure investigations, nonconforming product management, and protocol or report development.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
- For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
