About the role

Ability to work extremely close tolerances.
Ability to layout and plan machining operations from prints, sketches or verbal instructions with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Full understanding of use for tooling, drawings, work scopes, procedures, specifications and documentation to perform the primary function of the job.
Maintains equipment by completing basic preventive maintenance requirements and notifying the appropriate representative for troubleshooting and repairs.
Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.

Requirements

3-5 years' experience in manual machining or related, manual equipment including but not limited to Horizontal Lathes, Vertical Lathes, Mills, Grinders, and Drill Presses.
Will consider candidates with less years of experience.
High school diploma, GED, or Trade School experience desired, not required.
Candidate must be willing & available to work off shifts, as well as flexibility to work weekends, holidays & overtime.
This includes turning, boring, facing, milling, drilling, reaming, tapping, sawing, slotting, grooving, grinding, and other required actions to complete the job.
Ability to work to extremely close tolerances.
Ability to read and comprehend drawings, sketches, job scopes, and verbal instructions.
Advanced knowledge and accuracy in using various measuring devices: micrometers, indicators, calipers, gauges, and other required tools necessary to perform the job.
3-5 years' experience in manual machining or related, manual equipment including but not limited to Horizontal Lathes, Vertical Lathes, Mills, Grinders, and Drill Presses. Will consider candidates with less years of experience.

Able to accurately measure and record all dimensional inspections as needed and pass annual dimensional inspection tests.
