Files H-1B any time — no cap, no lottery. The 2026 weighted-selection rule doesn't touch it, which makes this the strongest structural path for entry-level talent. Pay is often lower, but your odds of staying are dramatically higher.

H-1B wage level

the lottery is wage-weighted — each level is one more entry

Level I · 1×
Level I$90,0431 entry
Level II$110,5522 entries
Level III$131,0403 entries
Level IV$151,5494 entries

The bottom of this range ($81,300) is below the Level I prevailing wage of $90,043. An H-1B cannot be filed below the prevailing wage, so an offer at the floor of this band could not be sponsored as posted.

Based on the DOL prevailing wage for this occupation and worksite, a base salary of $110,552 would place this position at wage Level II. That figure is within the posted range, and I'd like to target it. This role classifies under "Electronics Engineers, Except Computer" for prevailing-wage purposes.

DOL prevailing wage, 2026-27 wage year · Electronics Engineers, Except Computer (17-2072) · Salt Lake City-Murray, UT. Wage level is derived by USCIS from the offered wage, occupation and worksite; the occupation shown is inferred from the job title.

Employer immigration record

from this employer's Department of Labor filings

States it is exempt from the H-1B cap

In 1 Department of Labor filing, this employer states it is an institution of higher education — one of the statutory grounds for exemption from the H-1B cap. Cap-exempt employers can file year-round without entering the lottery.Employer's own attestation on a Department of Labor wage determination, not a USCIS determination — exemption is decided per petition.

Files H-1B transfers

25 transfer filings in the last year, covering 25 workers. Median labor-condition decision: 7 days. An employer that already files transfers is one that can take over an existing H-1B.

Sourced from Department of Labor LCA, PERM and prevailing-wage disclosure data. Employer matching is by name, so figures may be split across an employer's legal entities. Absence of a filing means none appears in our copy of the data, not that none exists.
