About the role

  • We are seeking a UX/UI Designer to join our growing team.
  • You will work closely with engineers, product managers, and researchers to translate complex technical workflows into elegant, efficient interfaces.
  • This is a remote-friendly role with a preference for candidates located near one of our offices for in-person collaboration, meetings, and events.

Responsibilities

  • In this role, you will be responsible for creating intuitive, visually compelling, and user-friendly digital experiences that support the operation, monitoring, and management of our robotic systems.
  • Lead the end-to-end design process for robot and web based UI: e.g. create wireframes, prototypes, and final UI assets ready for implementation by our development team
  • Develop and maintain design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across platforms.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to align design solutions with technical feasibility and business needs.
  • Stay current with UX/UI best practices and emerging design trends.
  • 3+ years of professional UX/UI design experience.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design across web or software applications.
  • Knowledge of front-end development basics (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) for better design-engineering collaboration

Requirements

  • Robotics experience is helpful but not required-what matters most is your ability to simplify complexity, advocate for the user, and bring a strong design perspective to multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or related field-or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficiency with design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
  • Experience with prototyping and usability testing.

Skills

  • Improve the UX/UI of features implemented by our development teams
  • Assist our HRI/UX Researcher in conducting user research and usability testing, and then iterate based on feedback.
  • Experience designing complex systems, dashboards, or technical tools for enterprise software.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
