About the role
- IEM is currently seeking a Production Planner Intern for our Jacksonville, FL location, reporting to the Production Planning Manager.
- This is a hands-on, analysis-heavy role well-suited to someone who enjoys working with data and wants to understand how manufacturing planning works in practice.
- Please note: This position requires 100% in-office presence at our Jacksonville, FL offices and does not offer remote work.
Responsibilities
- Support the planning team in developing and maintaining production schedules based on customer demand, material availability, and manufacturing capacity.
- Assist with reviewing customer orders and demand signals to help validate production requirements against established lead times.
- Work directly in INFOR to analyze production plans and validate that orders in the system align with actual production requirements and customer demand.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives including Kanban systems, visual management, and data accuracy projects.
- Perform heavy Excel-based analysis to track, compare, and reconcile production data, supporting planning decisions and team meetings with clear, accurate reporting.
- The intern will be expected to perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (required).
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- experience with data analysis or reporting is an asset.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
- Demonstrated career ambition with a track record of growth and increasing responsibility
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
