About the role

  • Provide directions to staff and subconsultants
  • Proactively supporting clients and anticipating project needs
  • Provide guidance to PMs on strengthening client relationships and how to forge new, strategic business relationships

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact on projects working with clients, stakeholders, consultants, contractors and support staff
  • Manage major transportation engineering projects on behalf of the Owner's Engineer Team or Design Team.
  • Provide technical leadership and direction to junior and intermediate staff on Owner's Engineer Team or Design Teams.
  • Develop win strategies specific to pursuits
  • Develop project schedules and coordinating resources
  • Oversee the correct implementation of our quantity management system and application of design standards for engineering work.
  • Experience leading design or other technical teams in the delivery of complex infrastructure projects

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10+ years of related technical experience in transportation engineering or project management in a civil engineering environment
  • Experience with the design, procurement, construction and closeout phases of alternate delivery projects (Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, Alliance, etc)
  • Extensive experience in client management in a professional consulting environment, including resolving conflict with internal and external stakeholders
  • Positive attitude and dependable with the ability to work cooperatively and productively in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Proven conflict resolution capabilities
  • Strong communication and time management skills and ability to work concurrently on several different projects

Nice to have

  • Registration as a P.Eng. preferred

  • This is a full-time position based out of our Burnaby Office, located near scenic Deer Lake.
  • Our recent projects include the Patullo Bridge Replacement Project, Fraser River Tunnel Project, and Steveston Interchange Project.

  • The salary for this position is commensurate with experience; the salary range for this position is $117,895 - $169,000 annually.
