Responsibilities
- Support meal service and distribution activities, ensuring appropriate portion control and adherence to food quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen facilities, equipment, utensils, and food preparation areas in accordance with food safety regulations and institutional procedures.
- Monitor and record food temperatures and sanitation activities to support compliance with food safety standards.
- Maintain accountability of kitchen tools, equipment, supplies, and chemicals in accordance with correctional facility security procedures.
Requirements
- Food Handler/Food Safety Certification or ability to obtain certification within a specified timeframe.
- Physical ability to meet job demands (e.g., lifting, standing for long periods)

- Experience working in a commercial, institutional, healthcare, hospitality, or large-scale food service environment is preferred.
- Experience in a correctional, healthcare, or institutional setting is considered an asset.
