Responsibilities

  • Lead the U.S. Strategic Capital Reporting team and ensure timely, accurate financial close, analysis, and reporting for assigned funds and ventures.
  • Partner with fund management, tax, legal, and operations on acquisitions, dispositions, development activity, and venture formation, including evaluation of related financial and accounting implications.
  • Manage, review, train, and develop a team of one direct report and one to two indirect reports.
  • Build effective working relationships with fund management, internal business partners, investors, and external auditors while handling sensitive financial information with discretion.
  • Collaborate with global accounting teams to automate, streamline, and improve reporting processes.

Requirements

  • Experience leading reporting priorities and meeting monthly, quarterly, and external reporting deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional business and finance stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency and experience using general ledger systems and reporting tools.

Nice to have

  • Real estate fund experience.
  • Experience with fair value reporting and Net Asset Value (NAV) reporting.
  • Experience supporting funds, joint ventures, or strategic partnerships.
  • Demonstrates willingness and capability to leverage emerging technology, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and speed.
  • Exercises sound judgment, creative thinking, and accountability for outcomes.

Compensation

  • S alary and whole compensation package (bonus target & LTI (Long Term Incentives) to be determined by the candidate's location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
  • $ 154,000 - $188,000.
  • Our 401(k) retirement plan has a company match of 50% up to 12% of eligible compensation.

  • As Director, Strategic Capital Reporting, you will lead accounting, financial reporting, and oversight for U.S.-formed strategic capital funds and joint ventures in which Prologis invests.

  • Review consolidated financial statements, Net Asset Value (NAV), fair value reporting, and quarterly external reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Building blocks for success
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential or MBA.
  • Seven to nine years of public accounting experience or large multinational financial reporting experience.
  • Extensive experience applying U.S. GAAP to financial statement areas and financial statement preparation.
  • Supervisory experience, including reviewing work and developing team members.
  • Analytical, process improvement, organizational, and problem-solving skills demonstrated through financial reporting work.
  • Ability to use complex data to validate and enhance financial results.
