About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Industrial Engineer Intern to join our team in San Leandro and/or San Jose locations.
In this role, you will apply industrial engineering and lean manufacturing principles directly to the manufacturing floor and labs.
You will play an active role in optimizing shop floor layouts, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and designing workflows for maximum efficiency inside our advanced production areas and dry rooms.

Value Stream Mapping (VSM): Collaborate with cross-functional teams to draft end-to-end Value Stream Maps, identifying bottlenecks, waste, and opportunities for throughput optimization.
Line Setup: Support manufacturing engineers in the physical and operational setup of new assembly and pilot lines, ensuring workstations are ergonomically and sequentially optimized for peak efficiency.
Continuous Improvement Culture: Facilitate and document lean problem-solving sessions, tracking actionable outcomes that reduce cycle times and lower defect rates.

The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise.
New hires joining the company tend to be paid within the starting base pay range noted above, with opportunities to increase pay over time based on development of additional skills, competencies, and company-specific knowledge.
In addition to base pay this position is eligible for tier based bonus and equity, healthcare, dental, vision, corporate discounts, paid holidays, PTO and sick time, 401K, employee relocation plan (if applicable)
