About the role
- Citizens Health is looking for a Registered Nurse to work full-time nights as a nurse supervisor at Citizens Medical Center, our acute care facility.
- The Nursing Supervisor works closely with Nursing Managers and ancillary departments to ensure smooth operations, foster a positive work environment, and achieve the organization's overall goals.
Responsibilities
- Maintain supervision of all nursing personnel during assigned shifts.
- Support nursing staff in evaluation of patients and notifying proper personnel and family with change of status of patient.
- Perform rounds on unit with provider to evaluate and plan care on all patients.
- Assist in providing ongoing training, mentorship, and support to nursing staff to ensure their skills and knowledge.
- Maintain open lines of communication with immediate supervisors to ensure timely and accurate reporting of essential information regarding patient care, staff concerns, or operational issues during the shift to support seamless continuity of care and decision-making.
- Maintain a positive attitude with good energy.
- Create a positive, supportive working atmosphere.
- Demonstrate professional conduct and maintains professional appearance.
Requirements
- Experience in office productivity software (email, calendar, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, etc.).
- Experience in EMR documentation.
- Current RN Licensure by the Kansas Board of Nursing
Nice to have
- Current BLS, TNCC, PALS, NRP and ACLS preferred, will assist in obtaining active certification.
- Prior experience as Supervisor, obstetrics, and ER preferred.
Compensation
- Dependent upon degree and experience.
- A $12,000 sign-on bonus is available for this position.
