About the role
- This position is responsible for custodial duties in assigned areas of UW-Whitewater buildings and maintaining these areas in a safe and sanitary condition.
- All duties are to be performed in accordance with organizational beliefs and values.
- Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
Responsibilities
- Maintain exterior spaces, including entryways, walk-off mats, ash urns, and recycling centers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Clean and maintain equipment and storage areas.
Requirements
- Move furniture, equipment, supplies, etc., as required.

Skills
- Work collaboratively with co-workers, staff, and students.
- Interact respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Organize and prioritize workload independently.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning methods, solutions, equipment, and materials.
- Safely lift up to 50 pounds.
- Work independently.
- Tolerate exposure to cleaning agents, dust, odors, temperatures, noise, heights, and slippery surfaces.
- Climb ladders and stairs.
Compensation
- Well-qualified candidates can expect a starting hourly wage of $17.00 commensurate with the candidate's education, related experience, and qualifications.
