About the role

  • Responsible for maintaining daily operation of equipment, preventative maintenance on process equipment and facility systems, providing emergency repairs as needed with moderate supervision.
  • Installs new equipment and inspects and repairs existing equipment.
  • Makes all necessary mechanical repairs on equipment, including replacement, repair and installation of sleeves, bearings gears, shafts, pins, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Follow safe work practices and support safety goals and objectives.
  • Work from prints, diagrams, schematics, specifications, instructions, operations manuals, and manufacturer's manuals and specifications, to perform scheduled and emergency repairs.
  • Maintains and improves preventative/predictive maintenance programs.

Requirements

  • High school or equivalent degree.
  • Knowledge of distributive control system (DCS).
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization both written and orally.
  • Must be self-directed.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications (Word, Excel, E-Mail)
  • Ability to follow instructions, record data
  • Ability to work at heights and walk on grating.
  • Must be able to wear a respirator and other required PPE.
  • Select Minimum Years of Experience: 3 years
  • Estimate required tools and materials for assigned tasks

Nice to have

  • Experience in a Chemical Manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in a HPWP.
  • Familiar with ISO-9001 and Process Safety Management.
  • Welding Certification and applicable experience
  • Predictive maintenance experience - Vibration analysis, lubrication analysis, etc.
  • Steam system experience preferable.
  • Electrical and Instrumentation experience is a plus.
  • Reading, Applied Mathematics, Applied Technology, Locating Information, Observation, Teamwork.
