About the role
- Carilion Clinic is hiring full-time RRTs to join our Acute Care team at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital - a Magnet-designated, Level 1 trauma center and academic medical hub in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Responsibilities
- Carilion understands the importance of prioritizing your well-being to help you develop and thrive.
- Performs basic and advanced therapeutic, diagnostic and life support respiratory care procedures in general and intensive patient care areas, or home care environment.
- Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care in order to achieve optimum patient outcomes for patients of all ages as appropriate to service area.
- Age specific ongoing assessments are completed, documented and used to develop a plan of care.
Requirements
- Effective interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills required.
- Incumbents may be required to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.
- Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) by the Virginia Board of Medicine required.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required.
- Respiratory Therapy degree from a CoARC (Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care) accredited program required.
- Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) by the Virginia Board of Medicine required.
Compensation
- $30.47 - $45.71 Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience.
- The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
