About the role
- Diamond Infrastructure Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician-Instrument Tech in Plaquemine (LA).
- Provides front line reliability and maintenance subject matter expertise to ensure sustained reliable equipment and process operation.
- Provides technical expertise which may be equipment-based or repair technique-based and impacts the reliability, availability, and maintainability of the system and/or equipment.
Responsibilities
- Repairs, maintains and installs equipment and machinery which is used in the process.
- Troubleshoots and repairs malfunctions and documents failure analysis.

- As the Maintenance Technician-Instrument Tech, you would provide maintenance craft-specific support to plants.
- You would maintain and repair all types of equipment with craft knowledge and expertise.
Requirements
- A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.
- 2 year degree in a Mechanical related field.
- In lieu of a degree, 3 or more years of relevant military experience.
- 5 or more years of experience in an industrial environment as an instrument tech or related field.
- A minimum of a High School diploma or GED and one or more of the following:
- NCCER certified as a Millwright (NCCER Certification obtained through an Instructor Led Training Program is a preference).
- Current, valid US driver's license.

Nice to have
- Familiarity with Turbines, Compressors, Generators, Fans, Pumps and Gearboxes.
Skills
- Equipment Diagnosis and Repair - Ability to diagnose and correct equipment problems, ensuring smooth operation and minimizing downtime.
- Willing and able to meet physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations:
- Wear safety equipment, such as earplugs, goggles, and steel-toed shoes.
- Wear and use respirators.
- Perform frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
- Work in tight or closed-in spaces.
- Climb stairs/ladders and work high off the ground.
- Stand or walk for extended periods of time.
- Lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
