About the role

  • QuEra is seeking a motivated Manufacturing Engineering Co-op to join our team and play a meaningful role in how our products are built and documented.
  • We are searching for someone to join us from August/September through December.

Responsibilities

  • Create BOMs and product structure for existing modules and assemblies
  • Using existing documentation and product samples, write clear, accurate assembly procedures for use by contract manufacturing partners
  • Technology transfer of existing and new designs to contract manufacturers
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical and optical engineering teams, operations engineering, and supply chain team to ensure all requirements for outsourcing production are met

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Familiarity with product structures and bill of materials (BOM) management
  • The ideal candidate is bright, curious, and eager to learn from the team and environment around them.
  • You'll be embedded in a collaborative environment where precision, attention to detail, and the ability to absorb knowledge quickly are valued above all else.

Nice to have

  • Prior co-op or internship experience preferred
  • Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks strongly preferred)
  • Experience with PDM/PLM software (SolidWorks PDM, Agile/Arena/Omnify/Aras PLM, or similar) is a strong plus

Compensation

  • $28k-$35k
