About the role

Accounts (DDAs, FBOs, virtual accounts) are the product; the API and dashboard are how customers experience it.
Your domain runs across accounts, API, dashboard, IAM, and the end-to-end customer experience.
You report to Will, Head of Product, and work closely with Simon, our CTO.

Responsibilities

Few people get to build a bank from scratch.
Even fewer get to build one at a moment when banking itself is being reinvented.
Either they build on legacy clearing banks that are slow and unreliable, or they interface with middleware providers that don't move and hold the dollars directly, but themselves rely on underlying legacy banks.
an enterprise customer sets up an Augustus account and is moving money the same day - accounts that are effortless to create, an API that's a joy to integrate, and a dashboard with the speed and precision of the best modern software, not what anyone expects from a bank.

Requirements

3+ years of experience end-to-end owning and building banking, fintech, or developer platform products.
You go deeper than anyone asks, you know exactly where the points of leverage are.
You know the difference between a dashboard that works and one that people love, and you can't ship the former.

Compensation

Compensation packages at Augustus include base salary, equity, and benefits.
The annual US base salary range for this role is $150,000-$200,000 + equity.

You're unblocking engineering daily, making hard prioritization calls, and keeping the roadmap moving.
You're raising the bar across accounts, API, and dashboard, and feeding what you learn from customers straight back into the product.
You're working with live customers on the products you've built, and deposits and account holders are scaling.
You've moved from execution to platform mode - evolving the roadmap based on what your first customers are actually building on top of Augustus, and pushing the account and dashboard experience further than any of them expected a bank could go.
We believe that throwing smart people with high agency at big problems produces the best outcomes.
You're not working directly with customers as part of your day to day.
You think great products and fast shipping can't coexist in a regulatory environment.
You need clear scope and a settled product before you can do your best work.
