About the role
- This position will also help with monthly budget to actual variance analysis, annual audits and other ad-hoc projects.
- You will report to the Senior Manager of Accounting and help improve our internal and external financial reporting and workflow automation.

Responsibilities
- Financial Close & Compliance: Support the month-end and year-end closing processes to consistently meet reporting deadlines and maintain complete audit readiness, which includes handling major balance sheet reconciliations
- Fixed Asset Management: Maintain the fixed asset ledger, track capital expenditures, and run monthly depreciation and amortization schedules
- Bank & Cash Management: Perform daily or weekly bank and corporate credit card reconciliations to monitor cash flow
- Cross-Functional Support: Communicate with department leads to resolve variances, and assist with the continuous improvement of month end close procedures to shorten the close cycle and maintain accuracy

Requirements
- A Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science
- 2 to 3 years of proven experience working as a staff accountant
- Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- A strong understanding of full-cycle accounting processes and essential Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Nice to have
- Prior experience working with NetSuite and/or other major Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
- Previous experience thriving in a fast-paced start-up environment
- Exposure to Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) business models and merchandising operations
