About the role

  • Total Wine & More is seeking Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join our Finance team in our Bethesda, MD office.
  • This role is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and providing actionable insights through financial modeling and performance analysis.
  • This role is accountable for ensuring alignment with business objectives and providing strategic guidance to leadership.

Responsibilities

  • It provides leadership with insights to guide resource allocation, support strategic initiatives, and inform business decisions.
  • Partner with Store Operations leadership and cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and support strategic decision-making
  • Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and deliver actionable insights to support executive decision-making and improve profitability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Stores and other business functions, to provide financial guidance, manage operating expenses, and support key strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Deep knowledge of the retail industry, including key drivers of profitability, merchandising metrics, and inventory management.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into strategic insights.

Nice to have

  • 10+ years of experience in FP&A, operational finance, or a similar area preferred

Compensation

  • The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
  • $143,100.00 - $235,200.00 Annual
