About the role

This position is located on one of three shifts in the West Point Mint, Office of Production, Plant Engineering Division.
PHYSICAL EFFORT Assignments require moderate physical effort with the incumbent lifting, carrying and handling items (tools, materials, equipment, etc.) weighing up to 40 pounds.
Occasionally lifts items in excess of 40 pounds and assistance is usually available with heavy items.

Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. National You must meet the following requirements within 14 days of the closing date of this announcement.
You must meet the screen-out element Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision, normally addressed at the beginning of the online questions.
To meet the screen-out element for the WG-12, applicants must have: I can independently troubleshoot standard issues and perform routine repairs on moderately complex systems.
To meet the screen-out element for the WG-11, applicants must have: I can independently perform routine repairs, replace components, and install wiring or conduit on standard systems.
Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (screen-out), Knowledge of Equipment, Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc., Theory of Electronics.
