About the role
- We are primarily interested in candidates who have developed electronics for robotic end effectors, prosthetics, and wearables.

- Rapid prototyping of electrical systems at both system and board levels.
Responsibilities
- Apptronik is a human-centered robotics company developing AI-powered robots to support humanity in every facet of life.
- In this job role, you will own electronic systems from ideation through design, testing, and into mass production.
- Architect, design, simulate, implement, and test multi-layer mixed signal PCBAs.
- Generate design documentation such as schematics, block diagrams, test plans and procedures, fabrication and assembly drawings.
- Execute design work under the supervision of program management, systems engineers, and technical leads.
- Develop and execute comprehensive validation and test plans (DVT/PVT).
Requirements
- Experience with end effectors/end of arm tooling (EOAT), prosthetics, wearables, motor drives, firmware, communication protocols (Ethernet, EtherCAT, CAN, etc.), and wiring harnesses.
- Experience with developing and maintaining CAD design rules.
- Experience with product lifecycle management and PLM systems such as Arena and TeamCenter.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
- Experience with electronics lab tools and simulation tools (ex: LTSpice, PSpice).
Skills
- Excellent problem-solving and hardware debugging skills.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping and testing, including the use of lab equipment.
- Travel up to 10% within US and internationally.
- Bachelors, Masters, or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in Electrical Engineering.
- Competent in CAD tools including Altium, or similar tools.
