About the role
- DOI serves the people of New York City by acting as an independent and nonpartisan watchdog for New York City government, City agencies, and City employees, vendors with City contracts, individuals and entities that receive City funds.
- A genuine interest in understanding the programs and histories of the agencies is essential.

Responsibilities
- Assessing allegations and complaints to identify potential investigative avenues and guide staff in the planning and execution of investigative operations, including subpoenas, interviews, document reviews, and fieldwork.
- Lead and supervise confidential investigations of fraud, corruption, misconduct, and waste.
- Manage personnel, resources, and workflow to ensure timely and high-quality investigative outcomes.
Requirements
- Exceptional writing and editing abilities will be required to ensure that all audit and investigative reports and documents are clear, concise, accurate, and compelling.
- at least 18 months of which must have been in a supervisory, administrative, managerial or executive capacity, and the approval of the Commissioner of Investigation
