About the role
- This role ensures all structural works associated with the railway track system are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and schedule requirements.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the design and construction activities for track-related structures, including bridges, retaining walls, culverts, and other supporting infrastructure.
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, and quality teams to resolve technical issues and ensure alignment across disciplines.
- Support field teams by providing technical guidance and ensuring design intent is maintained during construction.
- The Stations, Rail, and Systems (SRS) package encompasses the design, construction, integration, and commissioning of key project components.
- The Track Structures Technical Coordinator will provide technical and coordination support for the design, construction, and integration of track-related structures on the ECWE-SRS project.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering or related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in heavy civil or rail infrastructure projects, with specific exposure to track structures
- Strong understanding of railway design standards, construction methodologies, and structural systems.
- Experience with technical coordination between design and construction teams.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Working knowledge of relevant software tools (AutoCAD, Bluebeam, MS Office, etc.).
- Familiarity with Metrolinx or other major rail infrastructure projects is an asset.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
