Responsibilities

  • Manage timeframes for designing, coding, testing, and implementing to ensure solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Throughout the internship, you'll have the opportunity to learn, grow, and develop as a future professional while making a meaningful impact.
  • The Intern may be asked to support a variety of projects within one or more of the following Teams:
  • The Cybersecurity Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Team helps Southwest identify, manage, and reduce cybersecurity risk while enabling the business to operate securely and responsibly.
  • You'll collaborate with stakeholders across Technology and business teams to help strengthen governance practices and support organizational risk management efforts.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
  • You must have a valid U.S. Social Security Number to complete the full hiring process
  • U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the U.S. required and no current or future work authorization sponsorship available.
  • Progress towards a 4-year undergraduate degree or graduate degree is required
  • To be eligible, you must be currently enrolled as a full-time student (as defined by your university) at the time of application and during the internship
  • Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA at the time of application is required

Nice to have

  • 1-2 semesters remaining at the time the internship ends is preferred
