Responsibilities
- Lead structural analysis and design on projects of varying scale and complexity, applying industry-standard software and engineering judgment to deliver sound, efficient solutions
- Own the development of structural drawings, specifications, and technical documentation, ensuring full compliance with applicable codes and standards
- Lead coordination with multidisciplinary teams including architects, MEP engineers, and contractors, driving project alignment and successful execution
- Review and approve construction documents, shop drawings, and submittals for structural compliance, providing clear and timely feedback
- Optimize structural designs for cost-effectiveness, sustainability, and constructability
- Keep pace with evolving building codes, industry standards, and best practices, and bring that knowledge into your daily work
- Serve as the primary client contact on assigned projects, building trusted relationships and managing expectations through clear, proactive communication
- Manage project scope, schedule, and budget, coordinating with project managers to keep deliverables on track and within fee
- Support business development efforts including proposal writing, client presentations, and identifying opportunities to expand existing client relationships
- At least six years of relevant full-time experience in structural engineering design, with a track record of leading projects independently

- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETABS, SAP2000)
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
- Master's degree preferred
Compensation
- The base salary for this role is competitive, with a range of $95,000 - $120,000, determined by experience, education, and skills.
- KPFF also offers performance-based bonuses to recognize outstanding contributions.
