PitchBook News seeks an experienced journalist to break news and cover major trends shaping the venture capital market.
PitchBook News is a growing team of writers and editors who produce compelling journalism with original insights.
We shine a light on fascinating people, companies and market trends, leveraging our best-in-class datasets to engage our audience.

Report on trends and major news about venture capital deals, funds and startups, leveraging your own reporting along with PitchBook proprietary data and research
Deliver original analysis, scoops and other enterprise reporting on your beat
Collaborate with PitchBook research analysts, data analysts and data visuals team to produce unique, insightful journalism
Build and cultivate a deep network of industry sources

Bachelor's degree
5+ years' experience working in journalism
Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

Experience working on the venture capital and/or startup beat
Proven ability to break news and cultivate a deep network of sources
Write clearly and concisely with little or no rewriting by editors
Skill navigating data to find insights and tell stories with charts
Translating complex financial and tech topics with an engaging and authoritative voice
Proven ability to juggle multiple projects amid various deadlines
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily
