About the role
- This position will conduct testing for a diverse product portfolio, which serves all our markets.
Responsibilities
- Design, construct, maintain, operate, and troubleshoot test lab systems.
- Support lab equipment such as air compressors, cooling towers, pumps, bearing frames, gearboxes, etc.
- Troubleshoot mechanical faults and other issues as the arise throughout the test, investigate test stand failures, and implement corrective actions or make recommendations to supervisor or cell lead if additional assistance is needed.
- Maintain lab files including calibration records, test records, and component inventory.
- Maintain and use high precision measurement systems for pre-test and post-test measurements using specific equipment.
- Maintain the integrity of test equipment, gauging instruments, and test results.
- Exhibit behavior that contributes toward an environment that encourages team building, decision making, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
- The Test Technician is responsible for supporting all aspects of test lab work including tester design and construction, test operation, instrumentation and measurement, procurement of test materials, test lab projects, and maintenance of laboratory files and records.
- Collaborate with engineers regarding test plans, product design, and process improvements.
- Specify and purchase fittings, fixtures, and other materials to support test programs.
Requirements
- Ability to independently identify and resolve project issues.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
- Ability to review test results to determine validity of test data based on different levels of acceptance criteria.
- Working knowledge of rotating equipment such as motors, bearings, and power transmission (belts, gears, pulleys, etc.).
- Ability to use a wide variety of hand, power, and air tools.
- Must have communication skills and a professional approach that contributes to team analysis, problem-solving, and collaboration.
Skills
- Electrical wiring experience is highly desired.
- Training or experience in general mechanics.
- Working knowledge of LabVIEW software.
- Ability to interpret assembly drawings, part drawings, equipment manuals, piping, and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID).
- Knowledge of mechanical seals.
- HS Diploma / GED and / or 0-2 years relevant experience

Compensation
- The pay range for this role is $22.40 - $33.65 per hour.
