About the role
- The Executive Communications Specialist owns the materials, narratives, and communications systems that help UNION's Growth team turn complex technical, commercial, and customer context into clear executive communications.
- The right person is a senior individual contributor who brings writing judgment, material-building discipline, and enough commercial context to make high-stakes work easier to understand and act on.
Responsibilities
- Build executive-ready and customer-ready decks, one-pagers, briefings, and follow-up materials for internal, customer, partner, investor, and leadership conversations.
- Maintain reusable Growth materials, approved language blocks, current messaging, and a practical content library.
- Prepare decision briefs and non-contract materials for customer follow-up, partner coordination, diligence, data rooms, and proposal support.
- This role works directly with the Head of Growth to build customer-ready decks, briefings, one-pagers, leadership updates, and public-facing copy.
Requirements
- 6+ years in executive communications, strategic communications, product marketing, proposal content, or high-stakes content production.
- Ability to learn complex technical, industrial, software, and commercial context quickly and make it useful.
- Proven discipline with version control, approvals, confidentiality, and sensitive information.
Nice to have
- Experience in defense-adjacent, advanced manufacturing, robotics, industrial technology, or complex enterprise sales environments.
- The role works closely with Growth, Capture and Proposals, Government Contracts, Engineering, Manufacturing, Software, Finance, external advisors, and executive leadership.
- Work may involve sensitive commercial, defense-adjacent, partner, customer, and export-controlled information, so strong judgment and disciplined handling are required.
- Some travel may be required for customer meetings, partner meetings, events, or executive communications support.
