About the role
- As a Microsoft Logistics Technician, you will prioritize and assign ticketed work to technicians on the team, provide guidance on inbound/outbound logistics tasks, and ensure that inventory balances are accurate.

Responsibilities
- Maintains a strong focus to understand the impact of their work when completing tickets and assigned Inventory and Asset Management (IAM) tasks.
- Becomes familiar with guidelines set by the Microsoft contractual agreements with suppliers and maintains a strong customer focus.
- Performs destruction of data bearing devices (DBD) following all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Microsoft policies as necessary.
- Supports decommissioning servers, maintaining compliance and meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Performs weekly vehicle inspections.
- Performs data entry to document inbound and outbound packages.
- Performs cycle audits and data corrections to ensure all inventory controls are met and helps report and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Performs material movement, including shipping/receiving and inventory management per standard process.
Requirements
- This role requires the ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Microsoft will work with individuals on a case-by-case basis to determine if the requisite screening can be obtained within required timelines.
