About the role
- The Fabrication Technician is responsible for designing and building any in-house fabricated solutions for the manufacturing floor.
- Will aid in any problem-solving activities requested from inner-plant customers and help to design and execute the fabrication of fixtures, carts or any other custom designs needed.
Responsibilities
- Works through a work order system to prioritize projects and manage customer expectations
Requirements
- High School Diploma required or GED equivalent required.
- MIG and TIG welding skills required
- Knowledge of Hydraulic/pneumatic systems is desirable.
- Strong mechanical skills.
- Comprehension of schematics/blueprints.
- Self-starter and motivated to brainstorm and execute solutions
- Willingness to change, flex and learn
- Self-motivated
- Teamwork
Nice to have
- Degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology or equivalent preferred.
- Experience with Industrial and fabrication machinery preferred.
- Three (3) plus years of experience in manufacturing or fabrication field is preferred.
- Basic electrical skills preferred.
- Basic machining skills including surface grinders, lathes, vertical milling machines preferred.
