About the role
- brand and positioning, the website, demand generation, and developer acquisition.
- You'll make Hedra legible to developers, technical buyers, and enterprise teams, then turn that clarity into signups, API keys, and pipeline.
- You'll set the positioning, ship the site changes that convert, run the launches, and write the emails yourself.
Responsibilities
- Own brand and positioning across developers (API/platform), prosumers, and enterprise, and lead the shift toward B2B and developer audiences.
- Own website strategy and conversion: landing pages, comparison pages, pricing, and the paths that turn a visit into a signup or an API key.
- Own SEO and GEO across the entire site, not only the blog. That means landing pages, comparison pages, and developer documentation, optimized for traditional search and for how answer engines and LLMs surface and cite sources.
- Build demand generation and developer acquisition: own the channel mix, run experiments, and report on the funnel from first touch through developer signup and enterprise pipeline.
- Own launch orchestration: every feature ship gets a coordinated site, email, blog, video, and social plan with consistent messaging.
- Write and own product marketing and feature launch emails to the full distribution list, and build lifecycle segmentation across developer, prosumer, and enterprise audiences over time.
- Own the blog as one execution channel inside that system: an editorial calendar aligned to launches, writing or editing the posts that carry the positioning.
- Define the messaging guardrails the social/DevRel lead and video team operate within.
- Hedra is a research and infrastructure lab building physical world models and the inference to deploy them at scale.
Requirements
- A track record owning demand generation and developer acquisition.
- You've run a funnel from first touch through signup or pipeline, and you can talk through what you tried, what worked, and the numbers.
- Working knowledge of paid and social as acquisition channels, whether you've run them directly or managed specialists against a budget.
- You can read a funnel, find where it leaks, and decide what to fix first.
- 7-10 years in marketing spanning both positioning and demand generation, with at least part of it marketing to developers or technical buyers (API products, dev tools, or infrastructure).
- Exceptional writer - this is a writing-first role. We'll ask for a portfolio of launch emails, blog posts, and messaging docs, and the process includes a paid writing exercise.
- Hands-on with modern SEO and GEO across a full site rather than only a blog: landing pages, comparison pages, technical documentation, structured content, and how LLMs surface and cite sources.
- A track record owning demand generation and developer acquisition. You've run a funnel from first touch through signup or pipeline, and you can talk through what you tried, what worked, and the numbers.
- Comfortable treating the website as a conversion surface: you've shipped and tested landing pages and can work with design and engineering to get changes live.
- Comfortable operating solo inside a CMS and an ESP with no support staff.
- Has run coordinated multi-channel launches before, ideally at a startup where you were the whole team.
- Leadership trajectory: you've managed a small team, or you're ready to.
- A writer first. You'd rather draft the email than brief someone else to draft it.
- Self-motivated and independent: able to set ambitious (and yet accurate!) timelines and deliver on them.
