About the role
- Primary Duties: Mediate consumer complaints, with a particular focus on investments, annuities, and lending disputes, which may involve extended advocacy.
- Analyze and research various topics to provide information, referrals, and guidance to consumers.
- Excellent written communication skills, including experience writing letters, memos, emails, summaries, and translating complex information in a clear and accessible manner.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with other government agencies and community partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience.
- Data analysis skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Effective verbal communication skills, including the ability to actively listen and explain complex information clearly and patiently to consumers, insurers, and financial services entities.
- Ability to listen well, read carefully, and assess complex situations.
Nice to have
- Experience or familiarity with securities, investments, and consumer lending preferred.
