About the role

  • The Operations Technician's main responsibility is the safe and efficient execution of the MCB Camp Lejeune's (Jacksonville NC) repowering work, as well as performing operations & maintenance duties for the solar facilities across hep's operational portfolio.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor the real-time operation and performance of all utility and commercial scale generation assets.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safety-conscious workflow - practice Lock Out Tag Out procedures, keeping clear and thorough communication while working near energized equipment.
  • Perform repowering preventative maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance of all mechanical and electrical components.
  • Clean and replace filters, torque fasteners, perform routine inspections.

Requirements

  • First Aid/CPR Certification required.
  • Aerial Lift Certification required.
  • Ability to pass a background check to receive security clearance for access to MCB Camp Lejeune is required.
  • Frequent travel required.

Nice to have

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associates degree or technical certification in related technical field (preferred).
  • Skills and Qualifications: OSHA 10 Certification required, OSHA 30 preferred.
  • Solar operations and/or construction experience (preferred).
  • Electrical and mechanical experience preferred, willingness to learn is a must.
