About the role

The Senior Salesforce Engineering Manager provides both technical and people leadership, ensuring Salesforce platforms are scalable, secure, reliable, and aligned with business priorities.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Salesforce engineers, developers, administrators, and technical leads.
Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and support career development for team members.
Manage team capacity, resource planning, hiring, onboarding, and performance management.
Oversee the design, development, configuration, testing, deployment, and support of Salesforce solutions.
Partner with business and product teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Provide technical direction and decision-making for Salesforce platform design and engineering.

Experience managing vendor or implementation partner relationships.

Requirements

8+ years of experience in software development, application engineering, or enterprise technology delivery.
3+ years of experience in a technical leadership or management role, leading development teams or technical programs.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Prior experience managing or leading Salesforce engineering teams.
Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, configuration, customization, integrations, security model, data model, and release management.
Experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, APIs, SOQL, Salesforce DevOps, and integration patterns.
Ability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams, and senior leadership.
Experience managing competing priorities, project risks, dependencies, and resource constraints.

Nice to have

Salesforce certifications such as (or equivalent to):
Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I or II
Salesforce Certified Administrator
Salesforce Certified Application Architect
Salesforce Certified System Architect
Salesforce Certified Technical Architect
Salesforce Certified Service Cloud Consultant or Sales Cloud Consultant
Experience with Agile delivery methodologies.

Compensation

$205,000 - $230,000 USD
