About the role

Citizens Health is recruiting a cook to work full-time in our hospital kitchen.
Responsible for doing closing procedures in the kitchen and cafeteria prior to locking the Food Service Department in the evening Responsible to the Food Service Manager.
Days Open: Sunday through Saturday Hours: 9:00 am-5:30 pm, 5 days per week, every other weekend, 1 major and 1 minor holiday per year.

Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, environmental and infection control standards.

Demonstrate professional conduct and maintains professional appearance.

(Minimum Requirements)
Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.
Ability to communicate clearly.
Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance.
Ability to maintain quality control standards.

Training and experience in food service, including cooking for large groups, is preferred

Requires exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally to move stock in the department.
