  • Job Description Dewberry is currently seeking an Entry Level Landscape Architect to join our Site/Civil department in our Gainesville, VA office to work on a variety of projects for clients within the private and government sector.

Responsibilities

  • Typical projects involve site/civil design for residential, commercial, and industrial site development, and capital improvement projects.

  • Be an active member of multiple design teams participating in all aspects of a given project to develop detailed design documents and construction plans.
  • Prepare conceptual design plans for multiple project types including support graphics, and calculations to illustrate and support the design intent.
  • Design development plans and pattern books for projects requiring Comprehensive Plan, Rezoning, and/or Special Exception approvals.
  • Provide graphic illustration support for multiple project types and teams.
  • Provide site/civil engineering support which may include grading design, erosion and sediment control, utility layout, stormwater management, and plan preparation Provide landscape and hardscape design concept plans, supporting illustration graphics, construction drawings, and specifications.

Requirements

  • Required Skills & Required Experience Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture.
  • Strong Photoshop, InDesign, Sketchup, Illustrator, and Lumion skills required.
  • Strong AutoCAD, GIS/ArcView, and Microsoft office skills required.
  • Strong design and layout skills required.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have proficient mathematic and engineering skills.

Compensation

  • The projected range for this position is $72,000 - $74,500 annually.
