About the role

  • The Financial Analyst is responsible for accurate financial reporting and planning for all of HSDM and oversight of core financial activities in collaboration with the HSDM Finance Team.
  • Monitors, reviews, and approves department transactions in B2P, Concur, GL-PCR salary journals.
  • Liaises with the HSDM grant team on sponsored activity and transactions.

Responsibilities

  • They will provide support and analyses that relate to HSDM operations, policy development and documentation, process analysis, management tools, and compliance.
  • Support for families and caregivers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Minimum of 3 years' relevant work experience

Nice to have

  • Excellent technical skills including in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis and reporting tools.
  • Working knowledge of financial administration principles, compliance workflow, and business processes.

Skills

  • Strong financial skills, attention to detail and the ability work independently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with professionalism and a customer service mindset.
  • Understanding of Harvard University financial process, chart of accounts, and supporting tools valuable.
  • Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive background check at hire.

Compensation

  • Monitors, reviews, and approves department transactions in B2P, Concur, GL-PCR salary journals. Liaises with the HSDM grant team on sponsored activity and transactions.
  • Produces financial reports, including annual, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc.
