About the role
- Description: Capital Markets Technology client is looking for a senior developer to join the Commodities Risk Services Technology team.
- The candidate is also expected to have sound business knowledge and experience working in capital markets technology.
Responsibilities
- Design and build of new applications and/or work on existing applications
- Perform SDLC tasks such as design, develop, test, perform code review, write technical documentation, production deployment & support to meet business requirements
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and manage priorities independently and effectively
- Work with upstream, downstream, quants, middle office, QA/automation, EGS partners, and other technology/business teams as needed
Requirements
- The candidate is required to have strong technical knowledge of Java/Spring/Unix/DB and a solid foundation of design methodologies.
- Candidate must be able to write highly functional and performant code in a structured manner.
- 7+ years of application development and implementation experience
- 5+ years of experience in Capital Markets
- 5+ years of experience in Java/Spring
- 5+ years of experience in Unix
- 3+ years of experience in DB (Oracle, SQL Server)
- Experience working on Commodities, Equities or similar asset classes
- Experience working on risk and quantitative models
- Experience working with caching technologies (Oracle Coherence or similar)
