About the role
- Responsible for managing and analyzing inventory levels for the business unit to ensure optimum levels and maximizing fill rate performance.
- Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
- Utilizes and monitors exception reports and daily analytics for key business metrics.
Responsibilities
- Leverages SAP and other systems to execute "tactical inventory control with a goal to maintain excellent customer service while efficiently managing inventory.
- Partners with Inventory Analytics and Merchandising to proactively identify and address fill rate issues and excess inventory.
- Develops and executes strategy for SKU transitions seasonal trends, and customer-specific positions.
- Manages supplier relations and partners with supplier to address fill rate, lead time, damaged in-transit issues and supplier return.
- Drives additional process improvement initiatives to introduce streamlined strategies across business network.
- Develops and demonstrates best practice techniques to guide junior associates
- Independently performs assignments with instruction limited to the expected results.
- Determines and develops an approach to solutions.
Requirements
- Generally 5-8 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
- Certification is required in some areas.
Skills
- Identifies key barriers/core problems and applies problem solving skills in order to deal creatively with complex situations.
