Responsibilities
- Provide law enforcement support during special events, such as athletic games, concerts, and conferences
- Build positive relationships with students, staff, and local agencies, and promote crime prevention and public safety
- Maintain readiness for emergencies and work in varying weather conditions and high-stress environments
Requirements
- Ability to work rotating shifts, holidays, and frequent overtime for events
- Proficiency in firearms, Taser, radio, first aid equipment, and law enforcement software
- Proficiency with UCJIS and Spillman systems
- Familiarity with campus layout, BYU policies, and emergency procedures
- Ability to enforce federal, state, and local laws and departmental procedures

- Prior law enforcement experience
- Supervisory or mentoring experience with student employees
- Knowledge of crime prevention theory and university-specific policies
