About the role
- Rimkus is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Digital Forensic Examiner to conduct thorough and legally sound investigations of digital media.
- The Digital Forensic Examiner will be responsible for the acquisition, preservation, analysis, and reporting on digital evidence matters.
- Conduct extractions of data from mobile devices using industry-standard hardware and software (e.g., Cellebrite, Magnet AXIOM).
Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively with other team members on investigations involving mobile devices.
- Rimkus experts specialize in building envelope, engineering, forensic consulting, dispute resolution, construction management services, and solutions built for the environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree is preferable but not required.
- Experience in Law Enforcement, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3 + years of experience in digital forensics investigations, with a significant portion focused on mobile device forensics.
- Required Skills and Abilities Proven expertise in using mobile forensic tools such as Cellebrite UFED/Physical Analyzer, Magnet AXIOM, and others.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate mobile forensic findings.
Nice to have
- Relevant certifications such as Cellebrite Certified Mobile Examiner (CCME), Magnet Certified Forensic Examiner (MCFE), International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (CMDE), or similar.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python) for mobile forensic tasks.
- Experience in courtroom testimony and depositions.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, specifically applied to digital forensic investigations.
