About the role

- Our Company is currently looking for a Research Scientist.
- This is a newly created position located in Camarillo, California.
Responsibilities
- Designs experiments, optimizes media and tests conditions in shake flasks, spinner tubes, scale down bioreactor systems (Ambr) and 2L bench top reactors (Applicon).
- Leads small team of Scientists and/or Research Associates.
- Supports identification and optimization of alternative laboratory methods and/or equipment to improve work efficiency and throughput.
- Experience in cell culture process development and Design of Experiment (DOE) a plus, media optimization working experience preferred.
- Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems.
Requirements
- This position requires at least 10 years of relevant industry experience with focus on mammalian cell culture development and optimization for recombinant protein production, as well as related analytical methods.
- Experience with fed-batch and perfusion bioreactor processes is required.
- 10 years of industry experience with emphasis on cell culture and development of manufacturing processes required.
