Responsibilities
- Be a subject matter expert and provide advice to cross functional partners and Legal team members on copyright, trademark, patent, and trade secret matters.
- Collaborate with Reddit's engineering, product, and legal teams, along with outside counsel, to mitigate IP risk, protect Reddit's brand, business, and innovations, and build Reddit's patent portfolio.
- Make smart judgment calls, navigate risks, and creatively manage internal and external challenges on Reddit's IP matters.
- Ability to lead on a wide variety of IP matters and proactively collaborate with various teams across Reddit.
- In this role, you will use your experience, expertise, and proactive approach to drive Reddit's global IP strategy, provide seasoned counsel, and make a big impact on Reddit's rapidly-growing business.

Requirements
- 10+ years of experience as an IP litigator, preferably with a mix of big law firm training and in-house experience at a tech or fast-paced company.
- Strong understanding of copyright, patent, trademark, and trade secret law.
- Proven track record navigating intricate and emerging copyright litigation challenges.
- Ability to calibrate risk, distinguish business from legal risk, and communicate it clearly to executive, business, and technical audiences.
- You can think outside the box, articulate technical concepts in an easy-to-understand manner, and adapt and prioritize, while maintaining a big-picture focus on Reddit's mission and goals.
Compensation
- In addition to base salary, this job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units, and depending on the position offered, it may also be eligible to receive a commission.
